Two individuals face charges after multiple law enforcement agencies served a search warrant on Tuesday afternoon at an apartment in Auburn.
According to an Auburn Police Department press release, at approximately 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, members of the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force with assistance from the Auburn Police Department Emergency Response Team, the Auburn Police Department K-9 unit and the New York Army National Guard Counter Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 51 Orchard St., upper apartment, following an investigation into the illegal sales of narcotics.
Floyd I. Chavis, 36, was charged with three felonies, one count of third-degree possession of a controlled substance, two counts of third-degree possession of a weapon and one count of possession of a firearm. Chavis also faces misdemeanor charges of two counts of using drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Lynn M. Boothroyd, 45, was charged with one count of first-degree criminal nuisance.
