An Elbridge mother and son hurt in a freak accident driving in Pennsylvania continue to recover in the hospital.
Michael Griswold, 36, his wife Heather and their three children were driving from Elbridge to Pennsylvania to see friends last Friday when a tire and partial axle flew through their windshield.
The wheel hit Heather 34, who was a passenger in the front seat. It then went through to the back and struck Davis, 7, who was sitting in the third row, police said. Michael had minor injuries and the couple’s other son, Reed, 6, and daughter, Violet, 4, were not hurt.
Heather and Davis were airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where they remained Tuesday.
