Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce says that a Seneca Falls man, who was arrested on sex abuse charges in December, was arrested again on Wednesday – following an extensive, and lengthy investigation, which spanned more than six months.
Scott P. Davis, 29, of Seneca Falls was charged with second-degree rape, second-degree criminal sex act, and endangering the welfare of a child on December 19th.
Luce said at the time in a report that the rape and sex act charges stemmed from a second victim, who was 13-years-old at the time. He said the crimes occurred between 2010 and 2012.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that the newest round of charges against Davis include the following:
– Predator Sexual Assault of a Child, a Class A felony;
– Two counts of First-degree Criminal Sex Act, Class B felonies;
– First-degree Rape, a Class B felony; and
– First-degree sex abuse, a Class D felony.
Luce reports that the charges stem from Davis subjecting a child under 11-years-old to sexual contact on multiple occasions in Tyre. The incidents are said to have occurred between 2017 and 2018.
Throughout the investigation, numerous leads were followed. Potential victims and witnesses were also interviewed by authorities. Those investigators were assisted by members of the Seneca Falls Police Department and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators believe that there may be additional victims and ask anyone who has information related to the investigation to call Investigator John Nesbit at (315) 220-3442.
Davis is being held without bail due to the severity of the charges.
