Waterloo woman wanted by FBI in Puerto Rico on drug charges

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Waterloo woman who was wanted by the FBI on drug distribution charges in Puerto Rico.

On Tuesday at approximately 11 a.m. investigators arrested Maria V. Castro, 31, of Waterloo as a fugitive from justice.



Investigators say she was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional facility on no bail. She was wanted by the FBI on charges related to the distribution of controlled substances in Puerto Rico.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that Castro was living at an apartment on Waterloo-Geneva Road in Waterloo.

She will be turned over to the FBI at a later date, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
