The annual Taste NY Food Truck Competition at the New York State Fair will have a new location and schedule this year.
The contest, which has been held at Chevy Court since its inception, will move to the New York Experience festival area on the west end of the fairgrounds. The two-day event is scheduled for the final two days of the fair, Sunday, Sept. 1 and Monday, Sept. 2.
The competition will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
Fair Director Troy Waffner explained the decision to move the competition by recognizing its growth. More food trucks are entering the contest and more fairgoers are buying the entrees.
“Moving the festivities to the western part of the fairgrounds, with plenty of grassy areas and seating, will make the competition a more comfortable experience for everyone and will be one more reason to enjoy one of the great spots on the fairgrounds,” Waffner said.
