As expected, Democrats have nominated incumbent Mayor Ted Young to run for a fourth four-year term.
Young, of 32 W. Wright Ave., was nominated without opposition during Thursday’s party caucus at the Waterloo Community Center.
The Democrats also nominated newcomer David Dressing of 63 Virginia St. to run for village justice and Lee Boise of 159 Virginia St. to run for one of two trustee seats The caucus did not nominate a second candidate for Village Board.
Incumbent Democratic trustee Josh Mull did not seek re-election after serving for 12 years.
The Republican candidates were selected by petition. They include incumbent Trustee Les Marquart and incumbent Village Justice Conrad Struzik. The Republican candidate for the second trustee seat is Bob McGill.
For mayor, the party has endorsed William “Beezer” White, an enrolled Conservative .
