Police say an Auburn man was arrested on Sunday after attempting to rob a pizzeria.
Around 11 p.m. Thomas Anthony Leonti, 57, of Auburn was charged with third-degree robbery, resisting arrest, and third-degree managing. He’s accused of entering the Domino’s Pizza shop in Auburn, telling employees he had a gun, and demanding money from the register.
Police say Leonti didn’t have a gun, and eventually left – fleeing toward North Street.
He was eventually taken into custody without further incident.
Police also say no one was injured.
