Two leaders within the Auburn Enlarged City School District are gaining additional responsibilities.
Promotions for Owasco Elementary School Principal Abigail Adams-Snell and district assistant superintendent for personnel Jeff Evener were approved at a district board of education meeting Tuesday night.
Adams-Snell, who began as the Owasco principal in 2015, will be taking on a newly-created position as the district's director of instructional support & data. Her last day as principal is Feb. 22, and will start the director role Feb. 25. She will retain the pro-rated $94,250 a year salary she held as principal.
District Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo said Thursday the new director job will require Adams-Snell to perform duties such as acting as a data coordinator between the district and the state, conducting professional development with teachers, and breaking down data such as math and English scores and district data to see where improvements can be made.
