Deputies report the arrest of a Clyde woman following a welfare fraud investigation in Seneca County.
Dawn M. Freeland, 49, of Clyde was charged with third-degree welfare fraud, and offering a false instrument for filing – both felonies – after an investigation into household income that wasn’t reported legally.
Deputies say that Freeland failed to report household income while receiving monetary benefits from Seneca County.
A total of $4,168.54 in unlawful benefits were received by Freeland.
She was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
