Governor Andrew Cuomo is behind a new push to ban certain limos following that deadly crash near Albany last year.
The ban affects limos similar to the one that killed 20 people in Schoharie, NY back in October.
According to the Albany Times Union, Governor Cuomo will detail all of this in his executive budget.
The Governor wants to ban “stretched” or re-manufactured limos. There are also several proposals aimed at improving safety and cracking down on drivers and limos that shouldn’t be on the road to begin with.
Last week, Cuomo announced his plan to give state officials greater power to seize the license plates of unsafe or unauthorized vehicles.
