Waterloo man charged with felony DWI after being stopped for speeding

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Waterloo man on felony DWI charges following a traffic stop, which occurred on State Route 96 on Friday.

Chad C. Weaver, 31, of Waterloo was charged with felony DWI, driving with a BAC over 0.08 percent, and issued traffic tickets for speeding.

Deputies say the traffic stop was initiated due to Weaver’s rate of speed on Route 96. Upon investigation it was determined that he was under the influence.

Due to a past DWI conviction, the charge of DWI was elevated to felony status.

All of the charges will be answered at a later date.
