Police say an Auburn man was arrested on felony charges, which stemmed from a car accident on December 17th on Lake Avenue.

Sam P. Mallory, 40, of Auburn was charged Thursday with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony, and second-degree menacing, a class A misdemeanor.

After the accident Mallory got into an argument with the driver of the other vehicle. At that point, police say he brandished an aluminum bat.

While he did not attack, a bystander called in the incident. A warrant was ultimately issued for his arrest on December 24th.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
