Romulus schedules hearings on CDBG fund transfer, local law

The Town Board wants to direct its uncommitted Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to the Finger Lakes Regional Land Bank Corporation.

It also wants to allow the appointment of alternate members to the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and Board of Assessment Review.

But first the board must conduct public hearings.

The board will conduct the two hearings back-to-back beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the municipal building.

The town wants to transfer the excess CDBG funds to the Seneca County-operated land bank to support housing rehabilitation and demolition of an unsafe buildings for resale within the town.
