State Police are investigating a crash that killed a 77-year-old man around 7:25 a.m. on Wednesday.
Troopers were called to an accident involving a car and garbage truck. They say the vehicle collided with the rear of the garbage truck on East Port Bay Road in Wolcott.

The man driving the car was taken to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. He was pronounced dead there, according to Troopers.
Police identified the driver who died in the accident as Floyd Yonker.
There is no information yet on the cause of the accident.
