Pedestrian struck in Ithaca on New Years Eve

On New Years Eve at approximately 6:13 p.m. the Ithaca Police Department responded to a personal injury crash that involved a pedestrian and vehicle.

Police say a pedestrian was crossing the street at the 100 block of North Meadows Street, when a vehicle traveling north on North Meadow hit the individual.

The pedestrian was transported to a regional trauma center via Bangs Ambulance.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to police.

The Ithaca Police Department was assisted at the scene by Bangs Ambulance, the Ithaca Fire Department and the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.
