Van catches fire in West Bloomfield; no injuries reported

Deputies say no injuries were reported on Thursday in West Bloomfield when a vehicle caught fire near a home on Factory Hollow Road.

First responders were called to the address on Factor Hollow around 3:34 a.m. for a reported car fire. Upon arrival a white Ford Econoline E-350 van was on fire.

Firefighters were able to quickly put it out. The owner of the vehicle was not injured.

Deputies say the owner was identified as 25-year-old Bruce M. Moshtare, of West Bloomfield.

Investigation revealed that the fire began near the engine block heater on the vehicle.

No injuries were reported, but a neighboring structure suffered some siding damage as result of the blaze.
