Cayuga County residents will have a chance to weigh in on a proposed 2019 county budget of approximately $150 million at a public hearing Tuesday night.
The public hearing will be held as part of a special meeting of the Cayuga County Legislature that represents the first opportunity for the body to adopt a 2019 operating budget.
After formally beginning the budget development process in October, the Legislature last week approved a preliminary budget that includes a total tax levy of $40.75 million, a 2.4-percent increase over the 2018 budget, and a fund balance draw of $806,975.
