Sandra Sleburski says she was feeding her chickens outside her Rush home Sunday afternoon when she heard a gunshot, followed by a second gunshot.
The sound is not uncommon near her home, especially on the second day of regular season for deer hunting.
But the next sound she heard was one she said she’d only ever heard in movies.
“There was a whizzing sound going past my left ear, and then a sharp ‘click-clock’ sound hitting the house,” said Sandra.
Sleburski and her husband, David, called 911. Responding deputies would later find the house had been struck twice by two bullets.
“I had a tight knot in my stomach for the next five hours,” said Sandra.
