The 48-unit Pineview Circle housing complex on Route 318 has only been open since mid-July, but its developer is already eying a major expansion.
The town Planning Board has scheduled three public hearings for the night of Oct. 23 at the Municipal Building, 1695 Route 318.
The first, at 6:30 p.m., will hear comments on a proposal from Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services for a site plan for the first phase of a two-phase expansion. That first phase consists of 59 units of one- and two-bedroom apartments, along with parking lots, common areas, exterior lighting, sewer and water and drainage facilities and an access road.
The second hearing will be at 7:45 p.m. (or after the first hearing ends) to consider comments on the Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services’ application for a subdivision of 5.1 acres from the 14.5 acres of land it owns off Route 318 to be used for the construction of another 41 units of housing at some point in the future.
The third hearing will be around 8 p.m. and focus on comments from the public regarding the possible environmental impacts of the housing projects under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) process.
The Planning Board also will consider submitted written comments on the housing projects and the SEQRA process.
