The Ontario County Humane Society says that on September 8th a Canandaigua man was arrested for abandoning a dog, which had just been adopted.
Timothy M. Morgan, 37, of Canandaigua was charged with animal abandonment, after it was determined he left a dog named Bella loose on Straw Road – after unsuccessfully returning the dog to an area-shelter.
When that shelter could not accept Bella, he let the animal loose on Straw Road, forcing it to fend for itself.
After re-collection, the animal was placed up for adoption.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office assisted, according to the Humane Society.
