Deputies say they responded to a water craft accident with injuries on Saturday around 4:17 pm in Sodus Bay.
The accident happened when the engine of a personal water craft stalled causing the operator – to lose ability to steer it. That loss of steering resulted in the craft crashing into another.
Three people suffered varying injuries, and one was transported to Newark Community Hospital.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by water rescue teams from Sodus Point, North Rose, and Alton Fire Departments. The Silver Water Ambulance also assisted, and the U.S. Coast Guard also helped at the scene, according to deputies.
The investigation remains active.
