Clyde woman made false returns while employed at Petro truck stop

Deputies say a Clyde woman was arrested at the Petro Truck Stop on State Route 414 in Tyre on a number of charges following an investigation into false returns.

Jessica Briggs, 35, of Clyde was an employee at the business when she made numerous false returns – taking the money made from them. She was charged with six counts of petit larceny and six counts of falsifying business records.

She was remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secured bond.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
