The Pal-Mac girls lacrosse team defeated Penn Yan by a final score of 12-7 in Pittsford on Tuesday night to capture the Section V Class D title. It was the second straight championship for Pal-Mac and Coach E.J. Burse. Pal-Mac defeated Penn Yan in the sectional final game last season, 16-5.
Emma Arnold led the way with 6 goals and three assists while Sophia Lyko and Jamie Walker each added a pair of goals. Freshman goaltender Heather Weaver stopped 10 Pann Yan shots in the win.
Penn Yan (12-5) was led by Elissa Callaway who scored three times.
The Red Raiders (14-5) were able to overcome the loss of their leading scorer, sophomore Andra Savage, who tore her ACL on May 9.
The Geneva girls were also in action on Tuesday night, falling to Honeoye Falls-Lima 20-7 at East Rochester in the Class C title game.

Winning a title is sweet & defending it is even sweeter. But when you consider what the @palmacsports girls went through to defend their Section V Class D girls lax title, it's the sweetest of all. @WNYLax https://t.co/jTwVX2wkni
