Connecticut driver charged with DWI after stop on SR 89

On Sunday around 12:21 a.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a 28-year-old Connecticut driver following a traffic stop on Route 89.

Philip A. Tapia, 28, was stopped by police after his vehicle was observed crossing the center line several times.

Following the stop it was determined that Tapia was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. He was charged with failing to keep right, driving while intoxicated, and aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Tapia was processed and released on traffic tickets. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on June 14th, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. to answer the charges.
