Ithaca man charged with rape after investigation

Police say a 20-year-old Ithaca man was arrested on a rape charge following an investigation into incidents involving a minor less-than 17 years old.

On April 24th Sethik Howe was arrested by the Ithaca Police Department Criminal Investigations Division after an investigation into reports that he had forcible sexual intercourse more than one time with a female who is under 17 years of age.

The incidents occurred in the City of Ithaca in 2016 and 2017.

Howe has been charged with Rape in the First Degree, a Class B Felony, and Criminal Sex Act in the First Degree, also a Class B Felony.

Howe was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash or $3,000 bond.
