Two barns heavily damaged by fire on Tuesday

As of 1 p.m. overhaul was in progress at the scene of a structure fire involving two barns on Silver Street Road in Fleming.

Fleming, Owasco, Throop, Sennett, Scipio and Union Springs fire departments were on-scene, according to first responders, who said that the two barns were fully-involved when crews arrived. Aurelius’ RIT team was also called to the scene.

A fire investigation team was requested to the scene.

Silver Street Road was closed between Mobbs and Stone School roads, as well.

Photos from the scene showed flames shooting from one of the barns.
