The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So, Saturday morning more than 100 parents and their kids went to TRACK Cinema to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday by watching “The Cat in The Hat” movie.
Dr. Seuss, AKA Theodore Seuss Geisel, was a beloved children’s author who wrote more than 60 books including “The Cat in the Hat.” He was born on March 2, 1904. TRACK Cinema and the Fingerlakes Mall in Aurelius celebrated his birthday with the children’s movie, cupcakes and activities in the mall.
Amelia Allen, 2, and her mom, Katie Conner, both of Sennett, were seated in the theater’s second row waiting for the movie to begin.
“Cat, hat” Amelia told a stranger as she pointed to the screen.
