Syracuse suffers big loss at Boston College (full coverage)

Sophomore Tyus Battle led Syracuse with 29 points in an 85-70 loss to Boston College Wednesday night at Conte Forum. Freshman Oshae Brissett finished with 18 points and nine rebounds. Junior Frank Howard scored 17 points and dished out five assists.

That effort would not be enough, though.

Battle scored six straight points to trim the Syracuse deficit to seven with 10:02 remaining. Boston College used an 11-3 run to take a 69-54 lead and the Orange were unable to cut the deficit back down to single digits.

While the Orange saw their tournament hopes take a serious hit on Wednesday night — this weekend they’ll have the chance to end the regular season on a positive note.
