Seneca Falls man charged with DWI, leaving scene of crash on SR 89

On February 20th at approximately 4 p.m. the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested Arthur J. Sinicropi, age 34, of Seneca Falls for driving while intoxicated after leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Deputies were called to a property damage accident on State Route 89 in the Town of Tyre after the vehicle had fled from the scene at a high rate of speed after crossing the lane and striking two road signs.



Deputies located the vehicle and operator shortly thereafter and determined Sinicropi was intoxicated. He was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage MVA, failure to keep right, DWI and Aggravated DWI.

He was arraigned in the Town of Tyre Court and released on his own recognizance.

The charges will be answered at a later date.

According to deputies, State Police and the Seneca Falls Police Department assisted.
