On Wednesday at approximately 6:30 p.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a 52-year-old man following a probation home visit that turned violent.
During the home visit by the Seneca County Probation Department Patrick J. Menegus, 52, of Seneca Falls became irate and struck his probation officer. His actions caused the police department to respond, according to Seneca Falls PD.
After being taken into custody, Menegus kicked another officer in the chest while being put into the patrol car, according to police.
He was charged with obstructing governmental administration and two counts of second-degree harassment.
Menegus was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
