Tasty winter Ithaca Chili Cook-Off tradition continues in its 20th year

Walking through Ithaca Commons on Saturday would have been enough to make anyone hungry drool a river.

The 20th annual Downtown Ithaca Chili Cook-Off took place between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday at locations on and around Ithaca Commons, where the smells of the combinations of tomatoes, seasonings, peppers, onions, meats and other ingredients filled the air.

The cook-off featured chili prepared by local restaurants and organizations as they competed for the titles of Best Meat/Overall Chili, Best Vegetarian, and People’s Choice Chili. In addition to chili, there were other chili-related food items and beverages.
