The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office is encouraging those who might be considering getting on the roads this afternoon to consider waiting until winter weather passes.
“Hazardous driving conditions exist and no unnecessary travel is recommended,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a prepared release. “This restriction is not mandatory and is left to the traveling public to evaluate their need to be operating a vehicle on Ontario County highways.”
They note that anyone who needs to head out use extreme caution when doing so.
