An Auburn man is one of more than 200 graduates from the New York State Police Academy, according to a release from Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Andrew Rotko graduated from the 206th session of the Basic School of the New York Police Academy Wednesday. The ceremony was held at the Empire State Plaza Convention Hall in Albany. Rotko will serve under Troop C, which covers Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga and Tompkins counties.
“Today, we introduce a new generation of highly trained men and women who will serve and protect the citizens of New York State,” said New York State Police Superintendent George P. Beach II in a press release. “The graduation of this class continues the New York State Police’s more than 100 years of dedicated and proud service.”
