Deputies say a Wayne County woman and a Wayne County woman are both facing several charges after both were found possessing drugs while a child was with them.
Deputies say Kristen Moran, 22, of Shortsville and Kayla Schojoan, 24, of Marion were arrested after a traffic stop on State Route 96 in Victor on Friday.
Deputies say they noticed a child inside the vehicle without a car seat. That child, to the estimation of law enforcement during the traffic stop — was less than 8-years-old.
During the traffic stop, deputies say that Moran tried to destroy drugs that were in the vehicle.
She was subsequently charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a control substance, tampering with physical evidence and allowing a child under eight to ride in a vehicle without a child seat.
Schojoan, who was the passenger inside that vehicle was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
