State Police in Wayne County say an Ontario duo were arrested after their 8- and 9-year-old children were ‘running around’ a parking lot trying to find help for their parents.
The incident unfolded on Thursday at 6270 Lakeside Road around 7 p.m.
Joshua A. Kendt, 35, and Lindsay R. Kendt, 30 were charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to police, Joshua had to be revived with a shot of Narcan — following an opiate overdose. His wife, Lindsay, was highly-intoxicated at the time of the incident and after police took her into custody — she vomited inside the patrol car.
The couple’s children were not injured during the incident, but were placed in the custody of a family friend.
