Ithaca Gorges Flood
On September 7 & 8, 2011, heavy rains from Tropical Storm Lee plowed into central New York State, including the Finger Lakes region. Though Ithaca, NY, at the south end of Cayuga Lake did not see the flood damage of areas a little to the east and south, there was considerable minor flooding and damage, and Ithaca's famous gorges were roaring.
