Jessica Ernst is a Canadian scientist with 30 years of petroleum industry experience. She is presently suing the Alberta government, the Energy Resources Conservation Board, and Encana Corporation for negligence and unlawful activities related to hydraulic fracturing and contamination of well water. Her claim alleges that Encana broke multiple provincial laws and regulations and contaminated an aquifer that supplied drinking water to her Rosebud, Alberta community.
