" Ebony Jewelwing "
Gorgeously marked, ebony jewelwing (a wide-winged damselfly) males have metallic blue-green bodies and black wings. You can spot them near wooded streams amongst other locales. They're easy to get close to, so long as you move slow. They fly off only a short distance before landing again. Taken at Burroughs Audubon Nature Club in Fishers on Wednesday.
