" Chinese Medicinal Herb Garden at NYCC "
Mark Benjamin of Seneca Meadows recently paid a visit to New York Chiropractic College and presented President Dr. Frank J. Nicchi with the latest in a series of installment contributions funding the construction and maintenance of a Chinese Medicinal Herb Garden  maintained and utilized by the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and located on the college’s campus in Seneca Falls. The garden is a living exhibition providing NYCC’s acupuncture and Oriental medicine students with hands-on experience, instruction, and cultivation techniques associated with distinctive medicinal herbs used by eastern healthcare professionals.

The fight for the control of the Cayuga Indian Nation has reached a new level now that the Bureau of Indian Affairs has ruled current Chief Clint Halftown is no longer in charge. Halftown is hanging on to power as he has appealed the decision. A final ruling could come in 30 days. BIA Eastern Area Director Franklin Keel over the weekend removed Halftown and Tim Twoguns as the federal reps replacing them with new Chief William "Chuck" Jacobs (pictured) and Samuel George. Chief Jacobs spoke at a press conference Tuesday in Seneca Falls and say they need to look over business dealing of the Nation before decisions are made going forward. Senator Mike Nozzolio recently participated in the official Dedication Ceremony of the Oscar Fuerst Field in Sodus Point. The baseball field was dedicated in memory of Oscar Fuerst, a dedicated community member who was a strong advocate for children in the community and for keeping the baseball field when others wanted to abandon it.
