" Downtown Waterloo Blocked-Off "
Main Street Waterloo was closed Sunday afternoon around 12:30. The Memorial Day Banner that hangs across the street was causing damage to the building to which it was attached. Chris (Romulus Central School, Grade 11) and Brittany (DeSales High School, Grade 12) visited Albany as part of the 9th Annual Students Inside Albany conference, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of New York State Education Foundation, Inc. " Nozzolio Opens Pal-Mac Little League Season "
Senator Michael Nozzolio recently participated in the opening day ceremonies for the Pal-Mac Youth Baseball Organization, where he threw the first pitch of the game. Also attending the game was Tom Warner, a former Palmyra little leaguer who went on to play Division I baseball at Le Moyne College and is now baseball coach at Skaneateles High School. " Just Passing Through "
These three Sandhill Cranes made a stop at the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge Monday morning. Prior to the 2003 discovery of a pair of sandhill cranes with a chick at the northern Montezuma Wildlife Management Area, these birds had been sighted in New York mostly during migration periods that run from March through April and October through November.
