Liz Butterfield, a senior clinical exercise science major at Ithaca College, is the best female single-rope freestyle jump roper in America. At the 2009 U. S. National Jump Roping Championship last week, 995 jumpers from across the country competed in 12 events that included Pairs Single Rope Freestyle (two people, each with their own ropes), an event Butterfield and her sister, Emily, won at the 2007 national championship.

" MVA in Seneca Falls "
Seneca Falls Police and Fire departments were dispatched to a personal injury rollover accident at the intersection of Bridge Street and W. Bayard Street on Sunday at about 6:00 pm. A vehicle operated by Kathleen Harrison, age 61, of 2711 Chadwick Road was southbound on Bridge Street when she was struck by another vehicle that was traveling westbound on W. Bayard Street and came to rest on its roof. The second vehicle was operated by Christine Deal, age 33, of 1 Gould Avenue, Seneca Falls that came to rest after striking a utility pole.
