Clyde/Savannah won the girls Finger Lakes 5th and 6th Grade Travel Team Tournament on Sunday.They defeated Macedon 35 to 33. A "nail biter" for the parents, grandparents and friends that were cheering the teams on. The tournament was held at the Lyons Recreation Center with 10 teams competing. A fire at the Ontario County landfill in Flint Saturday took four different fire companies to bring under control. The landfill is located on routes 5 and 20 in the Town of Stanley just between Canandaigua and Geneva. A recycling dryer caught fire just after 9 p.m. No one was injured in the fire.
