" Upset at Woodhull Raceway "
The 2008 season has been a demonstration of dominance by the Ted White Racing teammates of Curt and Billy VanPelt. One brother or the other has taken home victory in every 358 Modified feature this season. That is, until Saturday night. Kevin Chilson and Greg Galligan paced the field to the drop of the green, with Galligan bolting to the early lead. By lap three, fourth place starter Steve Hartman Jr. motored his Terry Brewer owned #15 around the outside of Galligan to take command. Hartman wheeled his machine to the high side of the speedway and crossed the line victorious to the cheers of his hometown crowd. Billy VanPelt led his brother Curt across the line for 2nd , with Bryan Terwilliger putting together another strong run in fourth. Stacy Jackson hung tight for fifth. Photo by Roger Bailey.
