If you happen to see an unusual bird in your yard it could be a Pine Grosbeak. There is an invasion of winter finches throughout New York State this year. They are usually found in the Boreal Forests of Canada, but lack of food this year has driven them south. Photo by Fred Bertram.

" Seneca Falls Apartment Fire "
A fire in a second floor apartment at "The Muse" at 2 Fall Street in Seneca Falls Wednesday evening displaced about 25 tenants from the Lakeview Mental Health apartment building that used to be the Seneca Falls Hospital. All the residents were evacuated to the nearby Trinity Episcopal Church. The Red Cross in the Finger Lakes was called in to help the residents. The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new restaurant to the area on Saturday with a ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of the Route 89 Grille.
