" Seneca Falls Library Ribbon Cutting "
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held May 19th for the Seneca Falls Library grand opening of the Business Collection. The new, special collection at the Library is a collaborative effort between Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, Seneca Meadows, and the Library. It focuses on entrepreneurship and small businesses and consists of print books, audio books, magazines, and tech devices. Materials cover information on book keeping, taxes, business plans, creativity, how to do business online, skill development, marketing, publishing and more. Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua) welcomed Kathryn Taylor (left), a senior at Geneva High School, and Christian Moore (right), a senior at Midlakes High School, at his office in the Capitol on Monday. As part of a job-shadowing program, the students were in Albany to experience a day at the state Capitol, to see what the Leader and legislators do on a daily basis and get a better idea of how state government works.

She was there to discuss the many changes that have taken place regarding women in sports and their roles in society in general. She was also there on the occasion of the Women's Right to Run, 19k & 5k marathons that will take place Saturday of Mother's Day weekend in Seneca Falls. They celebrates the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, which gave women the right to vote.

A sorrel underside to a metallic blue topside. LOVE my barn swallows! They're incredible aerial insectivores - their acrobatic grace is memorizing. They fly within a few feet of me when I go out to do chores, then light on my mare's fence just a few feet from me. I know they're from last year minimally, as they settled into their nest in my mare's stall within 5 minutes of my opening the barn doors upon their return. I believe this to be the male for all his swooning calls as he begins this year's courtship.
