" Who Would Have Thought! "
After enjoying a sunny Saturday in Canandaigua, we were driving back to Naples along West Lake Road and spotted swans on the ice. Most were Mute Swans but one was a Trumpeter Swan with a yellow wing tag, J68. It was the same bird I had seen in Canandaigua’s Lagoon Park on January 9, 2014 and had posted a picture on at that time. Checking out the tag, I found the swan is part of a banning program performed by the Trumpeter Swan Restoration Group in Ontario, Canada. So what are the odds that I would encounter this lovely bird once again, on a different area of water, 25 miles from where I saw it last?
