2010 FingerLakes1.com Local Photos of the Year

One of the most popular features here at FingerLakes1.com is our collection of recent local photos submitted by local residents and photographers from across the region. In 2010 we posted over 1,500 photos!

In the week between Christmas and New Year, our staff took the time to go back and select some of our favorites. This was no small task given the amount of photos we had to review. If we missed one of your favorites, we apologize. Our entire gallery of local photos organized by month and year dating back to 2003 is available here.

We selected about 100 of the best photos from the past year and categorized them by type. We then selected one photo from each grouping as the Photo of the Year for that category. We are proud of all the photos posted on FingerLakes1.com and want to thank the dozens of local photographers who choose to share them with us all.

By selecting our favorites from the past year we are able highlight some of the incredible artistry and imagination of these great local photographers. In fact, there are literally hundreds of great photos we couldn't include because of the sheer volume we were dealing with. What we ended up with, was a large gallery of fantastic local images depicting the past year of life in the Finger Lakes.
