“Flour” City Brewery Collectible Show and Sale
“Flour” City Brewery Collectible Show and Sale Saturday May 3rd, 2014 This is the 6th annual breweriana (beer cans, bottles, and advertising ) show for the 12 Horse chapter of the BCCA. This show will feature cans, bottles, and advertising of all kinds. It will be held on Saturday May 3rd at the Local #13 Union Hall. The hall is located at 1850 Mt. Read Blvd Rochester, NY 14615 Admission is free. The show hours are from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. 8th Annual Wildlife Festival
The Montezuma Audubon Center, located at 2295 State Route 89, Savannah, NY, welcomes you to the 8th Annual Wildlife Festival on Saturday, May 3 from 10 am to 3 pm. Mobile Food Pantry Delivery
The Newark Rotary Club and Catholic Charities of Wayne County in partnership with the American Red Cross, Newark Food Closet, Together In Christ, and the Farm Bureau announce the arrival of the Foodlink Rochester Mobile Pantry on May 14,2014 from 5:00Pm to 7:00Pm The mobile pantry will be pulling into Newark and setting up at the Marbletown Fire Department located at 6416 Silver Hill Rd. in Newark NY. The Mobile Pantry offers essential and nutritious food items to bridge the gap between hunger and abundance to those in need of food assistance. This is a free program with no income or residency guidelines. Eligible participants will only need to declare a need and present a picture ID. Participants will have a wide assortment of fresh and frozen grocery items to choose from including produce, meats, breads, dairy, canned foods, sweets, and more. Welcome Back Weekend
Long Acre Farms will open for their 21st season at 10:00am on Saturday May 3, 2014. The Farm’s “Welcome Back Weekend” will continue through Sunday May 4th with special promotions, deals, samples and activities for the whole family. 2014 Season passes are currently on sale online and will be available for guests to purchase during the Farm’s “Welcome Back Weekend.” Guests who purchase any size/flavor Ice Cream will automatically receive a free wristband for the Back 40 Adventure- a play area on the Farm that consists of over 10 family-friendly activities, including a Fitness Jumping Pillow, Giant Slide, Hoop Shoot, Swing Set, Sandbox and more. In addition, the Farm will be running a “Buy 1 get 1 50% off” deal on all bags of ore for their Gemstone Panning station. The Farm Market will be offering free samples of homemade farm fresh fudge and will be stocked with new and familiar products. JD Wine Cellars, which is located at Long Acre Farms, will be open from 12pm-6pm during the weekend for wine and beer tastings and will have free samples of wine slushies for guests.

Carnations will be sold before and after all Masses on May 10- 11for $1.00 a stem at St. Stephen and St. Francis Churches in Geneva, St. Francis in Phelps, St. Felix in Clifton Springs, St. Mary in Waterloo and St. Patrick in Seneca Falls. The sale is sponsored by Finger Lakes Area Right to Life and will benefit the annual March for Life on January 22, Pregnancy Care Centers, and many other pro-life activities both local and national. Lake-to-Lake Quilt Guild Presents Spring Quilt Show at New Location Join the Lake-to-Lake Quilt Guild at the Phelps Community Center for quilt show, May 16 and 17, 2014. Phelps, NY (May 16 & 17, 2014) – The Lake-to-Lake Quilt Guild’s biennial quilt show, “Bloom Where You’re Planted: Spring into Color,” will be held Friday, May 16, 2014, 9:30 am to 5 pm, and Saturday, May 17, 2014, 9:30 am to 5 pm, at the Phelps Community Center (8 Banta Street, Room 207, Phelps, NY 14532). Admission is $5.00 per person. The “Bloom Where You’re Planted: Spring into Color” Quilt Show will feature over 200 quilts, art quilts and textiles made by guild members. Enjoy a gift gallery, merchant booths, door prizes and daily demonstrations. This year, with the encouragement of the Phelps Community Center, the guild will present an “Introduction to Quilting” from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, May 17. These ingenious fabric cards are suitable for mailing or display. While selecting your postcard, purchase $1.00 raffle tickets to win our “Finger Lakes Galaxy Quilt” (90” x 108”); paper pieced by members of the guild, top assembled by Janet Wilhelm and long arm quilted by current guild president, Val Schultz. The proceeds from these two projects will be donated to Milly’s Pantry, Penn Yan, New York. We will also have little purses on sale with the proceeds to benefit Safe Harbor of the Finger Lakes.
