1st Annual Spring Dance in Marion
On June 1st the MCDC is sponsoring the 1st Annual Spring Dance in Marion. The dance will take place from 5-8pm at the Marion Fire Hall, 3786 Mill Street. It is open to those age 15 and older, or those younger accompanied by an adult. We encourage people to come and enjoy this family-friendly event. A wide variety of music will be provided by Whirlin’ Disc DJ’s. There will be prizes, refreshments, raffles, and a bake sale. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund other MCDC sponsored events throughout the year. 8th Annual Run for the Red 5K & Breakfast Presented by Market Alternatives

T-shirts are given to the first 150 5K registrants. Awards and door prizes are disbursed during the 10am acknowledgement ceremony. FREE water and refreshments are provided and FREE parking is located at Central Park and along East Avenue. Restrooms are available at the Alex Eligh Community Center and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. The fee for the 5K is $15.00 in advance and $20.00 on race day. Registration will open at 8am in front of the Wayne County Chapter and the race will start at 9am. The USATF certification number is NY10008JG. Timing is provided by YellowJacket Racing. We're offering a french toast breakfast in addition to our 5K. A $5.00 donation is required per person for the breakfast. We will start serving at 9am. Call (315) 331-3783 for more information. This is an exciting event in which the overall Male and Female winners will each win a gold medal and $50.00. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will also be given to the first three winners of each of our 12 age divisions. The age divisions are: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over. Fees: $15 preregistration, $20 day of registration, $5 donation required per breakfast
