Nature of Montezuma Lecture Series- Sport of Falconry
Learn the history of falconry, a sport that has stayed the same for the past 4,000 years at the Montezuma Audubon Center on Rt 89 in Savannah. On Saturday August 23rd from 1:00-2:00, you’ll meet Norma Jean Albright and her falcon, and they’ll teach you how this sport is still practiced today. Learn how falcons and falconers are hard at work all over the state for many different reasons. And you’ll be treated to a flight demonstration! Long Acre Farms Amazing Maize Preview Weekend
Macedon, NY. – Macedon, NY. Join Long Acre Farms for their 17th annual Amazing Maize Maze Preview Weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 22 – 24th. Get a sneak peek at their “A-maze-ing Maize” the Star Spangle Banner before their official grand opening on September 6th. . Guests can enjoy access to the Full Back 40, the Amazing Maize Maze and the Farm’s - Farm Scene Animal Tracks mini maze as part of their Barnbuster admission. The Farm Scene Animal Tracks is a mini corn maze inside the Amazing Maize Maze that is designed for kids ages 2-8. Guests can participate in this experience and help discover who stole Farmer Joe’s pies. Barnbuster tickets are $11 per person ages 5 – adults and $7 per person. Kids under 2 are free. This weekend only Long Acre Farms will give a FREE Boomerang Ticket to maze participants with their purchase of a Barnbuster Ticket to return in the fall. During the Farm’s Preview Weekend the Full Back 40 will open at 10am and the Maze will open at 12pm. The last maze ticket will be sold at 6pm, as the Maze will close at 8pm.
