Care Net's Annual Dinner
Geneva’s Care Net PCC will hold their annual dinner at Club 86 on October 23. The Silent Auction and registration will begin at 6:15 p.m. with dinner and program beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, which includes a three course meal with dessert. Groups can purchase a table for $200 with seating for eight. This year’s theme is “Together for Life”. “Doctors and nurses will be recognized as they share their passion for life,” states Interim Director, Doreen Teed. Silent Auction gifts will gratefully be accepted. Checks to reserve seating can be mailed to CNPCC, PO Box 733, Geneva NY 14456. Hope Robinson Guest Speaker
On Thursday, October 23 Care Net Pregnancy Care Center of The Finger Lakes (CNPCC) will hold their annual fundraising dinner at Club 86. The evening’s guest speaker will be the original director of Care Net, Hope Robinson, who directed the center for eleven years. Hope and her husband, Pastor Len Robinson, have served several churches as well as spent time in Spain as missionaries. Doreen Teed, Interim Director of CNPCC, explains, “The Robinsons have decided to take a new path. Presently they go to a church where there is not a minister, hold reconciliation sessions, rebuild the church, help with hiring a pastor, then move on to the next church that needs help.” The Silent Auction and registration will begin at 6:15 p.m. with dinner and program beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person, which includes a three course meal with dessert. “Shine the Light on Domestic Violence” events in Seneca County
Seneca County Division of Human Services has been spreading the word on the “Shine the Light on Domestic Violence” Campaign we have asked local businesses to help by “turning purple” and raising awareness in their stores by wearing purple ribbons. Seneca County businesses and groups are helping to raise awareness at the following events throughout October: October 8, 2014 Lodi Whittier Library 2155 East Seneca Street Lodi NY will be hosting an Open House with snacks and information to those in need. October 11, 2014 Muranda Cheese located at 3075 Route 96 Waterloo, NY 13165 will be having their Open House from 10-5pm and will be wearing purple shirts in honor of Domestic Violence victims. October 14, 2014 VFW Seneca Falls located at 47 Fall St Seneca Falls, NY 13148 will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive and we will be there to collect donations towards the raffle and give information to those in need. October 15, 2014 WEAR PURPLE DAY!! There are many local restaurants doing specials including: Fat Boys Pizzeria 74 Fall St, Seneca Falls, NY 13148 will be having a “Sweet Treat” that is purple in honor of the awareness.
