Crafters from All Over the Finger Lakes
WaterlooSt. Francis-St. Clare Parish will hold their 41st annual Christmas Bazaar & Craft Show on November 22 at the Parish Center (former St. Marys School), 35 Center Street from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. New this year is Santa, who will be available from 10:00 am. to 1:00 p.m. Free photos can be taken by those who bring their camera. Beverlys Animal Shelter will also be present with dogs and cats available for adoption. Over 55 crafters will be selling their unique wares from the communities of Amherst, Clifton Springs, Clyde, Farmington, Geneva, Homer, Lyons, Manchester, Naples, Penn Yan, Phelps, Port Byron, Rochester, Romulus, Seneca Falls, Stanley, Waterloo, and Webster. Members of the parish are making homemade cookies and candy to be sold by the pound along with pies and cakes to be sold by the slice and alamode. Lunch choices will offer homemade macaroni & cheese, pasta figioli, meatball subs, hot dogs, and egg & olive sandwiches. Unique raffle baskets and a 50-50 will be included. Real Christmas Second Apple Pie Contest
The Real Christmas Committee for the second year is looking for the best apple pie in the Finger Lakes for this years 21st Real Christmas. Pies are to be brought to the Main Street School located on West Main Street between 3:30-4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, the day before the celebration. Judges will be Mike Cutillo from the Finger Lakes Times, Stephen Beals from and Rick Coe, funeral director with Coe-Genung Funeral Home. Dinner for two at Abigails Restaurant will be given to the baker of the winning pie along with a traveling trophy that now rests with Alice Davis from Geneva, who was the 2013 winner. It's A Wonderful Run 5K
Join us on a 5K Run/Walk through the beautiful, illuminated, historic Village of Seneca Falls, NY at dusk. A unique start to this USATF Certified 5K Course places the field atop the famous Bridge Street Bridge which many believe was the inspiration for the bridge scenes in the holiday movie classic 'It's A Wonderful Life'. The run/walk will take you past the decorated Christmas Tree display, the lighted storefronts and shops of downtown Seneca Falls, and past historic village homes decked out and lit-up for the holiday season. The course concludes in the shadow of the Bridge Street Bridge in People's Park along the Seneca Falls Canal Harbor. More information is available at
