Finger Lakes Cheese Festival
3rd Annual Finger Lakes Cheese Festival July 26, 2014 10am-5pm Sunset View Creamery 4970 County Road 14 Odessa, NY 14869 607.594-2095 flxcheesetrail@gmail.com www.flcheesetrail.com Sample all the cheeses of the Finger Lakes Cheese Trail in one place at this day-long family event at Sunset View Creamery just outside of Watkins Glen. Along with our creameries, we've invited our neighbors, so there will be plenty of local farms and vendors sampling and selling, along with a few of our favorite wineries and breweries! Live music will be performed all day in the dining tent. And there will be plenty of activities to keep everyone busy all day: Barnyard Olympics, games for all ages, goat milking, petting zoo, farm tours, hayrides, mechanical bull riding, bossy bingo, cheese making classes, cooking with cheese demos by top regional chefs, wine and beer pairing seminars, and more. BBQ, juice, water, and local foods will also be available for purchase - in addition to all the cheeses from all the creameries on the Trail! Admission: $2 for adults, kids 12 and under free Parking: free Commemorative gift bag for the first 500 paid guests through the gates

Backpacks, School Supplies & Clothing will be available for Schuyler County Residents on Thursday, 8/21, from 5p-8p. From 3 pm to 5pm, free haircuts will be offered by local barbers and beauticians. Catholic Charities of Schuyler Back to School Drive
In partnership with local businesses, Catholic Charities is requesting your help preparing kids for a successful school year. From July 18 to August 18, Catholic Charities will be collecting new or like new clothing, sneakers and backpacks and new school supplies. These items will be distributed at Schuyler Outreach in Watkins Glen to benefit local children in need. The following businesses have partnered with Catholic Charities to offer drop off locations: Cabins to Castles Real Estate, Watkins Glen Famous Brands, Watkins Glen – receive 10% off your purchase Maguire Motors, Watkins Glen Catholic Charities’ Back-To-School Giveaway will be held at Schuyler Outreach (112 10th St, Watkins Glen) on August 21 from 5 pm to 8 pm (must be a Schuyler County resident).
